Peppers owes us

One of those lackadaisical "I really don't want to be here but I'll go through the motions" efforts on Sunday.

Noted that Rogers and TE Finley hooked up often. Wonder if Bears D vulnerable to TE or more the specific game plan they put in.

 

I can only hope that he can chase our RBs down on the other side of the field after a ten yard gain so all of us can feel smug.

 

Those never happened. Some fans questioned Peppers' effort because they have no idea what they're looking at when they watch football, and they don't understand why a DE with his physical ability doesn't get 2 sacks every week. The reality is that Peppers was one of the highest effort players on the team. He always busted his ass in training camp, he rarely came out of the game, and he chased plays 20+ yards downfield.

 

Two sacks every week? This fan doesn't understand why he got 2.5 in all of 2007.

 

Me either, but as I've documented many times, elite DEs occasionally have an inexplicably bad season. I'm still guessing that he had mono or something.

edit- in my defense, I'm used to the Peppers hate. Even when he was here. That's my 'scuse, and I'm sticking to it, being that the sarcasm went that high over me.
