    Whoever saw the game and saw how Jon went down (with no contact) knew it was an ACL/MCL type injury. The news was just confirmed but we all knew it was bad as soon as we saw it.

    McDermott quoted as saying "It's a freak thing." Was it really a "freak thing" considering everyone knew his Achilles was already injured? Not constructive to second-guess at this point, I suppose, but I think that's a strange comment to make. "Freak" things usually happen with no rhyme or reason.
