Why? Anderson knows the system, and regardless of what people say about him has looked good for us.

Garrard is better. If I'm him I'm going somewhere with a shot at the postseason... seattle?

Garrard is vastly better. David is the kind of QB who bores fans to tears and frustrates coaches who want a real playmaker, but he converts third downs and he doesn't make a lot of mistakes. His 85.3 QB rating for third downs is really good. To put it in perspective, Peyton Manning is 85.9 on 3rd downs during the course of his career.

You can't anticipate this kind of thing happening, but QBs like Garrard become available almost every off-season, and a team like the Panthers would be so much better off with someone like him behind center and Dareus at DT. It would be interesting to know if JDR signed off on the move or if it was forced on him, because I imagine that it basically ends his tenure with the Jaguars. McCown is just a caretaker for Gabbert, who isn't ready and won't be great regardless. Crazy, stupid move by Jacksonville.

This is crazy Del Rio has to be done. It would be great to have Garrard because he uses good judgement when deciding to leave the pocket. Would be a great QB for Newton to watch.

For some reason I thought he'd been injured a good bit lately, but after reading up on this I have to say I agree with the rest of you who would like to have him.

Looks like a money thing for them to me.

Garrard had a great 2007 with Shula as his QB coach.
