Didn't notice him at all during the pre-season.

never made it to 2nd string, and never impressed. I saw him, but mostly pre-snap.

I mean, not a huge loss, but you like to see draft picks be hits, not misses.

Especially when you have a garbage roster with major holes and very few free agent additions. Wilson doesn't hurt as much because LB is so deep, but the team really needs to draft better at DE, DT, G, & CB.

CB R.J. Stanford has made the 53-man roster, his agent said.

agreed. If neither Wilson nor Hogan make a realistic difference long term, that's bad. We chose need instead of BPA and that tends to punch us. Now, we can find a good 6th linebacker, that's not that big a deal.

I think we've drafted one good interior defensive lineman in sixteen years.

I hope like hell that Fua and McClain pan out, because if they don't ...

last year McClain stuck and Stanford made the PS. This year looks like McClain's out.

Hurney has busted his ass to keep the core intact. I think we can give him a pass for missing on a bunch of draft picks.

Keiser is interesting to me. Doesn't look like much but made a lot of plays during pre-season. Can't say much about the competition he was playing against, but looked good getting into the backfield. I was also very impressed with Payne Thursday night.

He's been the LB in the hybrid front (surprised nobody has mentioned they've been playing some 34)
