Duke reeked of a wasted pick stench from the start. Kinda the same funk rising from the rookie WVa corner. Irvin kinda still has that smell too, and then there's . . .. Damn, the panthers are STANK!

Placed G Geoff Schwartz, TE Gary Barnidge, WR David Gettis and OL Zack Williams on injured reserve. Waived/injured QB Tony Pike and G Duke Robinson. Released LS Chris Massey.

    According to Steve Reed:
Edwards, Steve Smith, Brandon LaFell and Legedu Naanee are likely to make the roster. So is rookie Kealoha Pilares, according to general manager Marty Hurney, despite the fact he’ll miss about a month with a high ankle sprain. That leaves Clowney, Charly Martin and Wallace Wright to battle for a sixth spot at wide receiver.

Last chance to put my resume together to either remain wit Carolina or get picked up by another team.

Tweet from TSutton, looks like Vaughan might have beaten him for the 4th string job.

I'd say Clowney has that. Looked oddly like Martin for a bit, and really surprised Wright hasn't bounced back.

Hope Sutton sticks. Looked better than Vaughan in limited touches yesterday and overall in the preseason.

Yeah, but he also blatantly missed a couple of blocks. Not that this was uncommon, but it did stick out.

Vaughn & Sutton are both worth rostering. Too bad no one can use five RBs.
