    Never got why people thought Charlie Batch was as good as he's esteemed.

    He played pretty well his first two seasons despite being on the Lions. That sticks out.

    that era Lions had averaged 9 wins the five years before that.
    I mean, I know when I hear "Charlie Batch", I also remember him having started for the Lions, but I just don't think "wow, Charlie Batch."

    As I remember Batch got hosed by the lions, can't remember who they brought in...

    And not to shit on Batch. But he started six games since then.

    Just goes to show what I've always said about there are a ton of guys who can be decent starters. Charlie is nothing special, but he can be the starting QB on a winning NFL team.

    they averaged three wins less with Batch than the five before that. But it's not Charlie's fault they hired Marty Morhinweg.

    I mean, I don't want to crap on the guy. Just that everyone I know seems to be all reverent over Charlie Batch. He's just a guy whose name is known.
