    Richardson, who said that Newton “was dressed perfectly” for their meeting, was blunt. “I said, ‘Do you have any tattoos?’” Richardson told Rose. “He said, ‘No, sir. I don’t have any.’ I said, ‘Do you have any piercings?’ He said, ‘No, sir. I don’t have any.’ I said, ‘We want to keep it that way.’ . . . .
    “We want to keep no tattoos, no piercings, and I think you’ve got a very nice haircut.”
    Interjected the host: “You sound like a Lombardi.”
    Said Richardson, “No, I just sound reasonable to me.”

    I'm pretty sure Marty Hurney is dictating the no-tattoo/no-piercing policy. No way Richardson makes that type of decision.

    For the leader of the a team that sounds reasonable i guess. JR doesn\'t want a dennis rodman looking guy representing his franchise. A TE or LB isnt the same deal i would think.

    If Newton didn't have them by now, he probably wasn't going to get them. Does make Richardson look old, though.

    If I were paying a guy $22 million to play football I would feel like I had the right to tell him not to get any tattoos or piercings as well.
