This is getting murky. The NFL and the NCAA have merged in some way so Goodell can let Terrell Pryor into the league but gets to carry over the suspension Pryor would have gotten had he stayed at OSU? Granted I could give a rats ass about Pryor but whats to stop Goodell if in a few months the rumors about Cam Newton not knowing about his dad getting money comes out to be false. Will Newton get suspended? :hat2:

No half the problem is the NFL is pissed that Pryor hired an agent before he even knew hew was eligible for the supplemental draft. It pissed some "heads" off in the NFL and they found a way to punish him for it.

Nah. Newton would be safe. Same for all those Miami players that little rich douche Shapiro boosted (including Beason). I think Goodell is right on in Pryors case. A penalty was already in place and in the future any troubled draft eligible kid wanting to dodge his punishment could just jump into his guaranteed millions in the NFL. Goodell did the right thing in pryors situation. He and his bitch agent thought they could just pull out and skip town without being held accountable for pyors prior no-nos.

I disagree. Goodell doesn't have any authority to punish Pryor for college transgressions. I'm pretty sure this will get completely overturned on appeal if Pryor decides to fight it, which he might not.

He'd be stupid to fight this. Not saying he couldn't win, but it would blow up into worse trouble than it already is.

That's what they said about Curt Flood. I think Goodell is overstepping his boundaries. Pryor didn't break any laws, rules yes but not laws. Let him in and no penalties. I smell lawsuit

I'm not much of a Goodell fan, especially the last two years or so. Fucker thinks the NFL is his sandbox.

There is no comparison. Pryor is a much better athlete, but Newton is a much better passer.
