    Jake is better now then Rodney Peete was then... he'd be huge for Cam's development...

    I like the guy too (as a person) but if jake becomes the vet QB acquisition then the panthers instantly become the laughing stock of the league (for any of those who do not already see them as that). If I were a fan of a division rival i would just go ahead and count on all games vs panthers for the next 2 or 3 years as W's and assume that they will be the cellar dwellers

    nah, Jake is worse. Rodney was a poor man's game manager, but he didn't totally take a team out of the game. Jake for the last two years, that has been his calling card. Peete's one full year starting here he threw 15 tds and 14 ints. Jake last year...2 tds, 7 ints. 2009 with the Panthers...8 tds, 18 ints. I know you Panthers fans think of the good ole days with him, but they are LONG gone, and from the outside looking in, they never were that good to begin with.

    Jake owned the NFC south, even in his final season he went 4-2 in this division. If he were brought back I doubt he would start though.
