    This is why I've been complaining, people. For the price of Charles Johnson, you could have had Jonathan Joseph and Ray Edwards. For the price of DeAngelo Williams, you could have had Brandon Mebane and Josh Wilson. I don't bitch just for the sake of bitching, regardless of what magnus wants to claim. I'm upset because we've been paying ridiculous amounts of money, and that has prevented us from bringing in talent we didn't already have.

    Could have had Mebane and Edwards for less than what we paid Charles Johnson. I appreciate making a point of our willingness to spend on our own people, but I think Collin has a point. I don't think this is Hurney either, I think this is JR and his ego.

    It's Hurney. This is how he's been since he's been with the Panthers. (Gross, Wharton, Delhomme, Gamble, etc)

    JR has been his boss for the duration. Hurney may be the name on the contract, but I doubt he's passing out these dollar amounts without the man upstairs signing off on them.

    Why do you people insist on pretending that Hurney is just an innocent bystander doing what he's told instead of him actually performing his job as general manager?

    Where does my statement imply Hurney is an innocent bystander? My only intent was to say that JR is most likley involved as well where you seem more than willing to give him a pass. To imply the top of the organization is an innocent bystander for the faults in the org is assinine.
