Since he's been brought about talking about what he thinks about Moore. Here is what he thinks about our draft class. Interesting what he says about Pilares

. (1) Carolina Panthers -- Cam Newton, QB, Auburn. The Panthers took the ultimate gamble and bet the franchise's future on Newton. The team just picked a quarterback who has no experience in a traditional offense, who will need a lot of technique work and who must prove he has the maturity to handle being a team leader and make good decisions on and off the field. No doubt he has rare physical skills, but he is a long-term developmental project.

3 (65). Carolina Panthers - Terrell McClain, DT, South Florida: McClain moved himself up draft boards with a dominant week of practices at the East-West game in January. He has a thick frame with exceptional quickness off the ball from his stance. After playing in a heavy rotation in college, he will be counted on to start immediately for the Panthers this fall. This is a very strong value pick for Carolina.

3 (97). Carolina Panthers - Sione Fua, DT, Stanford: The Panthers reach here at the end of the third round by grabbing the very strong Fua, who plays with great effort and intensity. He lacks the athleticism to be more than a backup in the NFL. He was a solid, productive 2-gap tackle at Stanford, but really looked out of place at the Senior Bowl, where his lack of foot quickness and flexibility showed up. While he will make their team as a backup because of his size, strength and toughness, we do not believe he can become a starter in the NFL due to athletic limitations.

98 (98) Carolina Panthers - Brandon Hogan, CB West Virginia: Hogan is a good athlete but must improve his technique in order to become more than a nickel back for the Panthers. At 5-10, 193, it's not surprising that he struggles taking on larger receivers in press coverage. He must get stronger to become more than a situational player.

5 (132). Carolina Panthers, Kealona Pilares, WR, Hawaii: While the Rams were able to grab Greg Salas from Hawaii in fourth round, the Panthers get the far better pick at the top of the fifth. Pilares is a quick and agile receiver who easily can create separation from coverage and has good hands to make tough catches seem easy. He has a thick lower body which gives him good playing strength, and combined with his balance and competitiveness, he has consistently shown the ability to make big plays running after the catch. We think he is going to make an immediate impact as rookie as a slot receiver and third-down back for the Panthers and could end up being one of Cam Newton's favorite targets in 2011.

6-166: Carolina: Lawrence Wilson, OLB, UConn: Wilson brings nice all-around athletic ability to the Panthers. He has good instincts and rarely is out of position. The biggest concern is his lack of size.

6 (203): Carolina Panthers, Zack Williams, C, Washington State: Williams has experience at both center and guard but lacks the athletic upside to become a starter at either position in the NFL. He ends up on the ground on nearly every play. At best, he is a career backup.

7 (244). Carolina Panthers, Lee Ziemba, OT, Auburn: The Panthers grab the very tall (6-6) Ziemba, who has the long arms, toughness and competitiveness to challenge for a spot as a backup tackle. If he can improve his foot quickness and ability to pass block with better leverage, he could eventually develop into a starting right tackle.
