I'm beginning to buy into the notion that he's either just "game-lazy" or has some type of cardio problem. I don't doubt he trains hard, and works hard.

That, and he's been doing this for going on 13 years now at the pro-level. Not a young pup anymore.

I think defensive coordinators have become much more significant in the past 4-5 years, as well as their respective schematics. There's always an ebb and flow to this league, in terms of the trends. The two trends now are:

    1. Spread passing attack
    2. 3-4 defensive fronts

5 years from now, it will turn back again, and then back again. The only thing that will remain on a linear climb is the conditioning of the athletes, which will continue to impact rule changes to protect their own health.

Those charts show that Clausen struggles with pressure. He does not really make a lot of mistakes but he does not make any plays either.

McNabb is just sad for a veteran QB.

Not a big surprise. McNabb's biggest weakness as a passer is short-area accuracy, which is what you have to do well against pressure. Also, it definitely didn't help that Washington didn't have dump-off backs like Westbrook or McCoy.

He also had 50 year old Joey Galloway dropping TD passes.

really wasn't a great fit with him.
And, he's legitimately getting old. But a vet like him should be able to slide away a little bit. I wonder what part of it's just taking the sack.
