Rivera mentioned DW tonight about the running game, specifically, without singling out any other skill player.

Hopefully that gets done but it's less a priority than others.
Honestly I hope Cam doesn't impact the run game that much, because it'll mean he's doing good work in the pocket. Where we need him.

If no new CBA is reached then I think DeAngelo is a restricted free agent instead of unrestricted, although that would also mean that there's no rookie cap and Cam will cost $50 mil in guaranteed money.

Bulger rumored to ARZ already. Whiz did a "no comment" on the matter last night.

    Matt Hasselbeck, anyone?

Actually, drafting Cam virtually rules out any chance of signing a legitimate vet since none of them want to come here and then be shoved to the side two to five games later. Someone like Hasselbeck would have been far more likely to sign here if it was just Clausen.

Hell how much game does Hasselbeck have left anyway? I'd love to have him but he has been beat the fuck up the last couple of years

That's why he's ideal. Give him the starting job this year and a fair shot to hold it next year. If he can't that means Cam won it.
