The pass to Muhammad was perfect, and probably 50 yards in the air. Hard for me to shit all over it. The throws he made on the final drive, and the read+throw he made to Proehl, were exceptional. But, that first half was painful to watch.

I'd still prefer Jones, but Jones isn't viable at #1, and we don't have any leverage to trade down 5-7 spots.

Not to be tedious, but Brady (in SB38) threw a Delhomme-like INT, near the goal line, right into double coverage. A FG might have completely sealed the game. Then again, Brady made up for it a little later.

Again, the Steve Smith pass in the first half was the only exceptional one. Moose was wide ass open because the corner released him to a safety who wasn't there, and the Proehl catches were also when he was wide open. I just watched the youtube highlights to confirm that my memory wasn't playing tricks. I will say that Delhomme made good decisions with the football in that 4th quarter, and did a good job eluding the rush since several times the Patriots had a free rusher and yet didn't get the sack.

Agreed, that was a dumb throw by Brady. It's also obviously true that the defense could have won that game and did not.

I think Delhomme was magical at Oakland in 2008, personally. Simply artistic.

Im a huge AJ Green fan, so this is the only reason I ask, but:

Why do you prefer Jones, when Green can run better routes and catch a lot better?

Collin took the Jets game in 2009 hard, especially considering the contract.

    Because:

    1. Jones is a more complete receiver, and more physical--has the Anquan Boldin mentality of "hitting a ************ in the mouf"
    2. Exceptional blocker, pro-ready
    3. Can be chosen several picks later, which would allow a team the ability to harvest a better trade (but, not in this climate, unfortunately).

I like them both, but for value, Jones would be my choice.

Wait, ok- more complete receiver? The only thing Green lacks is the blocking. He's not as good a blocker. Other than that, he has Jones beat at everything. Well...either way...

They both rock, sure. I like them both too, so...not a big deal.

Ok, I'll give you this: my evaluation of them is that all things are equal.

Green: better sprinter, vertical threat, jump-ball machine.
Jones: exceptional blocker, physical, been compared by Greg Cossel (who knows some shit) to Fitz.
