No comparison. They must have edited out most of Cam's
chalkboard to kep him from looking like an idiot.

There wasn't a "Cam one" to my knowledge, and I've been wondering about that. It seems that if a consensus 1 overall was lifted up and he's a QB then he would have to answer even more questions along those lines. Don't know why Gruden went so easy on him. Who made that decision, to either just give Newton a pass on the board segment or to eliminate it from the video (if he had one)? I'd like to ask Gruden about that. Maybe he just "likes" Cam a whole lot more than he likes Jimmy. I really can not remember any of his interviews being anywhere near as critical and negative as JC's. On the flip side, his interview with Newton was probably the least critical and probing.

Gruden also said Newton was the best QB in the draft.

It was awkward that Gruden kept calling him a great looking man.

    Ha Ha, this shits hilarious.

I dont believe Gruden went hard on JC either. He probably highlighted more things he needed to work on, like not wasting time outs (like Foxy didnt already have issues with that himself) and communication with WR's, making sure they both understand (see the call) for route adjustments.

You could say he ripped Mallett a new one with blitz pickups. But in reality all he was doing is showing him that he needs to understand protections better as he's not very mobile. He's gonna have to learn to protect himself if he wants to stick around in the NFL. The John Daly segment was probably the most damning bit of it all. But his past indiscretions were never actually addressed, not that im endorsing him either.

Cam does his bit on the chalkboard too, its a shame that most people have only seen the 2.5 minute clip that made the rounds the day before.

But back to Gabbert, like Newton, he didnt really get into showing much negatives, or blatent issues they have. I recall, Gabbert doing his chalkboard bit, 5 wides, a simple slant to the open middle, dont know why everybody thinks that makes him a genius. He sounded like a financial major alright tho, certaintly seems to have the smarts, cant knock him for that. He considers himself a quick diagnoser (is that a word) of plays, able to process the information quickly. That's always a good thing.

He addressed the whole center thing, footwork, showing Mannings for reference, weight distribution for a quick getaway. Gabbert already appears to have the Warner 2 step thing but you can see he has a little giddy up that delays him a few nano seconds. He certaintly has the mobility for it not to be an issue.

Looked good on the field too, tight spirals and very accurate. There's alot to like about this guy on paper. But that's the problem for me, Mizzou went 10-2 alright but you dont see the numbers from a QB that makes about 50 throws a game 5 wide. Or is that a product of most throws being short routes?

People mention how he doesnt look so hot under duress. But is that more a product of the system and lack of protection up front having no te's bloking or Rbs to pick up the blitz? Manning and Brady can be made to look human under duress too.

I came out feeling better about Gabbert, but he looked nervous too. Maybe he would fit a west cost offense best?

I am not a Gabbert fan. Certainly not a #1 pick. He will have an average NFL career.
