    ESPN Sport Science created its own combine designed specifically to test the top college quarterbacks entering the NFL draft. By using cutting-edge technology, the Sport Science Combine not only presents a more in-depth look at the talent each QB possesses but also offers a methodical explanation behind the results.

    So, you really like this Ponder pizza faced kid? Or is it a FSU thing?

    I like him if the value is there. Ponder's big baggage is the injury concern.

    If the panthers traded down, I'd like ponder as an early 2.

    I like Dalton for our system, but I think Ponder will make a successful West coast QB. If Dalton were 6-4, he would be in the #1 pick talks. If Ponder did not have the injury history and was healthy last year, he could be too.

    I haven't broken him down specifically, but he's one of the many guys in this draft who could be solid for an NFL team. Physically he's fine, I'm just not sold on his decision-making. Tyrod Taylor is another in that boat. I've been saying all along that while this draft has no elite QB prospects, it's ridiculously deep in guys who could be competent backups and maybe develop into solid starters.

    FSU = great

    And it's worth reiterating that as much as I like to brag about my ability to project QBs, I won't even pretend to know who will be the best quarterback long-term out of this class. I honestly have no idea. That alone convinces me that taking one of them at #1 is ludicrous, because I could easily see someone taken in the third round being better than Newton and Gabbert.
