    I'd take Newton over Young 100 times out of 100.

    I think they have similar levels of talent. Young has more baggage. Given the cost associated with each though.....

    I was going to bash Thelt for posting this thread (especially an article written by some random Titans fan who just wants them to get something for Young), but the reality is that when I think about it I would rather have Dareus + Young (for a 5th rounder) than Newton + random 5th round DT. I'm not saying that I want Vince Young on the Panthers, but there is some merit to considering the cost comparison.

    I would rather have Dareus and a QB better than Young for a 5th but I would take it. If Vince Young busts here we are out a low dollar contract and a late round draft pick. If Newton busts we are out huge dollars and the number one overall pick. I do not see either of them as ever being elite.

    For those wondering about cost, VY would cost around 12 million for a one year rental on a trade.

    well that's still cheaper than McNabb's 50 mil contract.
