he could be that guy, a long time from now.
But waiting, and him being "naturally talented" and all, means he'll play sooner and not for the better.

I dunno. I'm not against someone who brings benefits you can't design, but I really wish someone with his arm, or something even within its neighborhood, was interested in standing in a pocket and chucking.

first up let's just go ahead and get this out of the way. when i watched the championship game, i did not like the looks of Cam. i thought he was inaccurate as hell. that still worries me. but, i want a QB so bad that i'm wetting my pants. i want to believe the hype, so shoot me.

if Collin is right that we are at least 2-3 years away from being relevant, what's the harm in taking a guy that it's going to taking a year or so to develop?

i'd druther we have a better option, but somehow, someway we have to find a decent QB. i could live with Palmer but can't with nothing significant being done.

it's easy for me to sit here and say, "Marty, let's take tens of millions of Jerry's cash, fly to Vegas and put it all on black." but my guess is that Marty is the type to want better odds and not let emotions rule with that much money riding on the pick.

but i tell you what, if Cam is the pick we will instantly become the center of the nfl universe for at least the next couple of years. and, darrin and collin will suddenly become bigshots outside of just panther land.

We all want a franchise QB, including Riviera. But wanting one desperately is not going to make one magically appear.

Because we need too many pieces (and have too few picks) to roll the dice on a guy who has terrible mechanics, the inability to read a defense, and a questionable work ethic.

I don't want to be the center of the NFL universe because everyone is laughing at us (see Leaf, Ryan or Young, Vince).

We should trade down or take one of the defensive linemen.

The lack of free agency or the ability to trade before the draft is making it difficult to see an option for getting a QB other than by using the #1 overall pick.

IF that rookie scale goes into effect, we can only guarantee to keep our 1st pick for four years. What the fuck sense does it make to take a guy who you might have to sit for two years?

It seems better to take a guy who steps on the field and helps you from game 1 year 1, at some other position, and get a vet QB somewhere.
