cam wasn't innocent. he knew he was buying a stolen laptop. it was a mistake but he's owned up and paid a heavy price and seems like he learned a lesson, just like most of us did at that age. he could have gone off to Blinn and quit. that's one of the things i really like about him. he's not a quitter or a whiner. the folks at Blinn and Auburn rave about him ... and not just because he's talented.

Apparently looks awful when real scouts are watching, but it's not a big deal apparently since hes raw. Maybe I should want this retard, he can even get out of being held up to realistic expectations.

He's raw. A lot of potential, all the physical tools. When he's off, he seems to be high -- overthrowing guys. Has freakish athletic tools, though. Definitely shouldn't, and probably wouldn't, start right away. Do we take him with the first pick, knowing it's an investment in the future and has no immediate impact? We did that with Armanti.

OK I have changed my mind. I wouldn't take Newton if he came at the end of the draft and played for free. Don't like his attitude

gantt, that other guy with gantt
I dunno, man. I don't get a boner out of being unable to hit more than 1-of-6 on corner routes. It's with top receivers against air. If he can't play quarterback well against air what the fuck do people want him for?

“I underestimated the timing aspect of playing quarterback,”

sounds like a Coryell QB if ever there was

Yeah, this took some the wind out of my Cam Newton sails too. Maybe it's not a fair comparison, but in my own career i have completely botched presentations that I should have had down cold, just because of how nervous I got. Perhaps we can chalk this up to that, a nervous young kid. It happens. That said though, if he does not absolutely light it up in his pro day, we cannot in good faith consider him any longer. Again, I don't know much about Gabbert, but my fall back options that I would prefer would be AJ Green, Robert Quinn, Marcel Dareus. Green seems to maybe have that home run factor I'm hoping for, I'd put him ahead of that pack.

Disappointing day. Crow tastes like shit.
