one year wonders, assholes. All of the top players are fucking bitches. This is the draft as styled by Kanye West. It's so obvious that they took the most interesting story, the juco turned prepaid champion, and made it both a DT and QB.

Assholes and lazy dicks who went to junior colleges. It's like the B-Team hijacked it.

there's even the chance there's no labor deal, so our shiny new toy could be the first holdout #1 pick in decades.

I mean, think about how many players have ever succeeded having not played the season before their drafting, and then think about how many of them are in this draft. Within the top five of their position, even.

If we draft a DT, I hope it is Dareus. He is bigger than anticipated at the combine, he has the versatility that is crucial in Rivera's defense, and he has consistently dominated in college.

This should be the guy we draft if we do not go in the direction of QB or CB.

Agreed. Even if Fairley somehow got a brain, Dareus looks the part more, has been more consistent, and has an ideal size weight for what we need.

It's QB or defensive line in my mind. There's not a franchise LT, or a WR/QB skill worth a #1 overall. Corners aren't worth #1s overall.

ceiling is higher on Fairley, and you want your #1 overall to be that star. But Dareus isn't but a hair off. If agents weren't involved we'd get equal workouts and know if Fairley is far and away more athletic, which I doubt he is. Which would have to be big to overcome Dareus having been the better player for all these years.

I can see either being the better player, it's not a mystery that they're about equal.
But, Fairley kinda came out of nowhere. Not that he didn't have a great NC game but making plays against the zone read isn't exactly relevant.
