I don't think he's done. I think he's going to be in one of the best, if not the best position to win next year.

Does he need any excuse after being to 4 and winning 3?

Brady is fantastic. Nobody is trying to deny that. However, he's done all of that sober. I'd like to see him get loaded up all week and then go play football. Ben is great because he doesn't wait until Sunday to release his testastarone. He turns down the advantages of studying and good fitness, and just does his thing with blunt force. I admire that, and I think it's greatness in it's own right.

The Pats have been getting good contributions from their last few drafts (Mayo, McCourty, Vollmer, Gronkowski and Hernandez), I don't get where this rep of always drafting for the future comes from.

They've traded down as much or more than ANY team in the NFL, thats why. Its also why they have 2 picks in each of the 1st 4 rounds this year. Because they've traded today for a better tomorrow. I'm thinking they will probably do less of that this year, but I wouldn't be surprised if they continue to add picks for the future sacrificing picks today.

It's not trading down as much as it's not holding onto aging, overpriced veterans.

And Brady just became the 1st unanimous MVP while playing on a broken foot that required surgery days after the season ended.

Bottom line, these NFL QB's are tough. The Rapist played most of the season with a broken foot and the last month with a broken nose. Those girls had no chance getting away from him.

    A combo of both.

    2010

    http://www.patriots.com/search/index.cfm?ac=searchdetail&pid=42699&pcid=47

    2009
The Patriots traded their 1st of four 3rd round picks (73) to Jacksonville for a 2010 2nd round pick and a 7th round pick this year (232).
The Patriots traded their 3rd round pick (89th overall) to the Tennessee Titans for a second round pick in 2010.
The Patriots traded corner back Ellis Hobbs to the Eagles for two fifth round picks (137th and 141st overall).
The Patriots traded the 137th and 141st overall picks (both fifth rounder picks) to the Baltimore Ravens for the 123rd (fourth round) and 198th (sixth round) overall picks

Its fair to say they wheel and deal with their picks come draft day, and most have been to trade down and pick up more picks or better picks the next year.
