    Allows him to spend more time in Greensboro running his training facility than actually coaching would require.

    which is fine, because some is better than none, but it's bizarre for a coach who wants to coach, and a team that wants that coach to coach, to both try to find a compromise that neither benefits the team nor the coaching career.

    Isn't there a limit onthe number of actual coaches that each team can have?

    none that I'm aware of. Plus the Redskins at one point in the last Joe Gibbsreich had something like four assistant head coaches, a few of them didn't even have positions to coach.

    Regardless of Proehl, we've used a lot of third tier, assistant assistant coaches, which is a good fit for the older position coaches we've hired at personnel - heavy spots like OL.
