It's interesting that Zorn is available and I'm not saying I wouldn't take him, but how McDermott is trash for having been let go but Zorn is revered for having been on staff a year with BAL after that abortion in WAS.

Not sure if he's being pursued here because of the Fox ties, but the RBs want him.

FWIW, I don't care that McDermott was let go. Good coaches get canned all the time. I don't like McD and haven't for a long time because of the marked drop off when he took coordinator for JJ, and was all heralded and shit, and has fielded bad defenses that seem to let offenses piddle on into the endzone each time they reach the RZ. A tactician? No. Guy might know x's and o's, and be aggressive and young, but he is not a good field coach, IMO. Never has been.

Zorn I think is terrific, and his history speaks for itself. I also think he wasn't as bad as advertised in Washington, and it's not like he could've succeeded there anyway. Not many have had a lot of success there since Snyder came in, so I can't hold that against him.

I have to think how things unfolded here has left a bad taste in his mouth about Carolina and would be his last option... Meeks came back, but he doesn't have the long history here or with Fox. From what I've read, Skipper is headed to Denver... just not as RB coach. Assistant HC position for the Broncos has yet to be named.

That's what I'm not sure about. Worked under Holmgren, who is pretty well respected for his work with QBs but all Zorn really has is a good year or two from Hasselbeck, that I can tell.
