    I imagine that Lombardi had one of his own flunkies start that rumor, although I was going to laugh my ass off if it had any validity. When you read his columns or listen to him on the B.S. Report, it's clear how utterly clueless that clown is, even though he thinks he knows everything about football. He called John Fox one of the best coaches in the league, and Jordan Gross one of the best tackles in the league (also said that Gross was not a first round pick).


    Yeah, supposedly Davis only let Cable go because he was worried that Jackson would get a head coaching offer from someone else.

    Cable went 6-0 in his division and missed the playoffs, with a roster stacked with talent in all 3 phases.

    Personally, I don't see the outrage.

    Plus it's amazing how quickly everyone forgot or forgave that he had a history of violent physical abuse.

    That stacked roster has been a doormat for years. This year was the most success they have had. Cable may be a douche but he is the best they have had since the Rich Gannon, Jerry Rice days.
