If we go that route then we will be picking first again next year.

Let me know what bridge that will be. I don't want to be under it.

    I wouldn't doubt it. It's Hurney.

Hurney loved Fasani, LaDeaf Parents, Cantwell, SOme other undrafted guy they cut for CAntwell....

I have been concerned about this.

I am not going to change teams but if we go into next season with Clausen as the starter and no viable guy on the roster if he flops again my apathy will be at an all time high.

If Luck comes out we need to take him. If we don't even I will be dumbfounded.

If Luck stays... Do we really want to spend the #1 on Newton/Mallet/Locker? I don't. So trade down. With who? No Luck means nop clear cut got to habve him #1 overall pick that anyone is going to give up lots of picks for. So we take, lets say Fairly #1, then Newton/Mallet/Locker in the second... oh wait that's right. So we wait to the third to take whom exactly. Will they even be as good as Jimmy C? Doubt it.

So, if Luck stays in school, don't put your Clausen jersey up on ebay yet because he will be the starter come 2011.

Hurney likes to keep players on the roster that he drafts and brag about how many are still on the roster. First, this is bull/ Second, thier thinking will change. He will need government protection 24 - 7. But it makes sense--everything falls into place-losing season, he comes out, Neptune aligns with Jupiter, and Hurney picks a DT.

I can buy not drafting a long term solution at qb if Luck stays in school, but if we don't at least sign a veteran to start next season while we're figuring out what to do long term, we're screwed. There are a lot of questions at the position for us, but I think Clausen clearly isn't the answer.
