I don't know that I've read much about any prospect that was more impressive. The guys making these statements, well let's just say I'd take their opinion over a Kiper 100 times out of 100.

Shoot, when we were first starting to see that the 1st pick was a possibility I just wanted it for the value but I've changed my mind, we need to get this guy.

Panther Front Office TO DO List:

Monday: Spend at the Orange Bowl. Spoiler Alert: Michigan will probably fire R. Rod and contact Harbaugh immediately.
Tuesday: Request an interview with Harbaugh. Send Luck an e-greeting card, congratulating him for whatever he did at Orange Bowl.
Wednesday: Interview Panther Paul and the Security Guy in section 522 to appease the NFL.
Thursday: Interview Harbaugh. Send Luck a fruit basket after the news of Harbaugh's interview gets out.
Friday: Do not play around. Knowing that Harbaugh has $3 million on the table in Palo Alto that will probably go up to $3.5 or so, Offer Harbaugh a 4-year contract worth $20 million plus incentives.
    Saturday: Plan Parade
March: Re-sign Johnson, Kalil, Williams, Rosario, Davis. Add DT and RG in free agency, possibly a veteran QB.
April: Draft Luck QB, CB, DT, OT, OC, -Start making Posters and Tshirts because the franchise has a face now.

Conversation between Smitty & JR. "It all comes down to this - sign Luck, I stay, pass on him, bye bye"

Now you've got me with my hopes up, but I keep reminding myself - WE ARE THE CAROLINA PANTHERS. Sigh, I hope we're all not spectacularly depressed come summer.

Fear not, Mal. If Luck declares, he is our QB. THere is no way any non-retarted GM passes on this guy. I would take him if Peyton Manning was my QB.

Definitely, except for Panther Paul. Plus interviewing Rivera is both a smart idea and a bit of a thumb at the Rooney rule.

I'm feeling worse we will not get Harbaugh. With Michigan and SF/Denver after him, I get the feeling JR will be the cheapskate and sign someone cheaper ( although this sure as hell better not be Grimm).

    HOWEVER...

I'm feeling better we will get Luck. Harbaugh is surely going somewhere other than Stanford, and this should push Luck into the draft.

most people only wanted Harbaugh to get Luck.

me, I'd rather have Harbaugh than Luck.

Who else took a 1 win team and turned it into a 1-loss team in a few years, which would be his challenge here? Who better to fix our biggest problem-QB? Who else would fire up this town and get momentum going forward again"?
