I keep hearing more and more comments like, "Experts are becoming more and more convinced that Andrew Luck is staying in college."

However, I don't think there is mention of the reasons they think that. Of course, Harbaugh stated that he though Luck would stay, but if Luck is saying that to Harbaugh, it is probably under the condition that Harbaugh is the coach. Maybe we can post links to these comments. Frankly, I think he would be an idiot not to come out. Waiting until the rookie cap of 2012 could cost him $25 million or so. He would return to a new coach and almost all new personnel on offense, with little chance of repeating. His stock will never be higher. Why stay? A degree? Pro athletes earn them all the time during their playing careers. CBA? A good reason, but a gamble either way. Besides, a work stoppage for a year would be more lucrative than waiting.

I think there is a media bandwagon forming that endorses the "Luck staying in" story. I don't think he has talked about it, and will talk to Harbaugh once the bowl is complete. He will come out unless he cares nothing about money and loves Stanford more than Harbaugh.

if you're him, you've got to come out. injury, only a pretty good year........ any of it will cost him millions of dollars, and some of it could end his chances at making a dime off football.

What media bandwagon? Its Peter King and everyone else is listening to him. I'm not sure if he stays or goes, but Peter King says it one time and now its gospel? Everyone else is just saying "well Peter King says he's probably staying"

I think any comments about him staying are for the most part posturing or the right thing to say before a bowl game when you are the team leader.

If I'm the Panthers I am already talking with Harbaugh's agent

He would be crazy not to come out. Anytime you can be the number one pick you should come out. There is too much money on the line to gamble with it.

I think he can declare for the draft, but as long as he doesn't hire an agent, he can change his mind and stay in college later... to see what Harbaugh ends up doing

Jack Bechta. He's on the twitters @jackbechta.

This is what Harbaugh said yesterday:

“I'm just going to tell him, 'Do what's best for your family. Do what's best for yourself.' Andrew's got a great, supportive family. They're very smart and they'll figure what's best for Andrew.”

true. but is it definitely true Luck will get Bradford money if he comes out? or does his compensation depend on the CBA being completed, and if so will it reflect the new rookie pay scale?

No you've only got like 2 to 3 days after announcing to get out in the NFL. At least that's the current rules. Not sure if that changes in any way with the CBA. Frankly don't know if that's an NFL rule or NCAA rule for football, but I do know its only a couple days.
