True, I think we would win with Fox as HC if Jerry went back to the way the did things prior to this season. Hopefully this year has been an one year thing where we are rebuilding or preparing for a lock out not a new philosophy that will last as long as Jerry owns the team. If this is how he will be doing business going forward then we are going to be doormats no matter who the coach is. Of course his current way would preclude hiring a coach who has any history of success due to the cost.

Fox has plenty of accountability here too, it's lame to blame 1-8 on JR.

We make this entirely too complex, sometimes.

Strat's right here. Fox deserves as much blame for being 1-8, as recieved a proportionate amount of praise and gushing for going to the Super Bowl after we went on a mini-Free Agent spending spree.

They all have accountability. The owner is accountable because he didn't spend a lot of money. The GM is accountable because he is responsible for player acquisition. The coach is responsible because he is the lead administrator for a coaching staff. The coaching staff is responsible because they coach technique and situational football. The players are responsible because they're not playing with sound technique.

Everyone down that line gets an equal share of this, just as they do when the team performs well. The only person in all of it I can defend is Richardson, simply because he owns the product, and there's a growing sentiment that he will spend in the market once two things happen:

    1. New CBA reached.
    2. New coaching staff hired.

in my oninion, Fox has zero accountability for this season... every offseason personel move made or not made, including the draft was out of his hands...

Give jimmie johnson an engine builder & a pit crew all in their first year in nascar and if he failed to make the chase for the sprint cup, would you blame jimmie or hendrick motor sports? he can only drive the car they build him... I don't blame Fox for wanting to take this team back to the garage.

y2b,,,, What about last season? What about us always following up a winning year with a losing year, never no consistency? What about sticking with Jake ENFUCKINTIRELY too long? Maybe first we should ask at what point do you actually concede John Fox deserves any blame whatsoever? Or do you think hes a future HoF coach like some posters have tried to make him sound the last couple years?

My personal opinion, I believe John Fox is probably a very good person, and for many years he was very good for this franchise. But over the years he began to show that he is too stubborn, and he is trying to win in the 2010 NFL playing 1960's style football.

I like fox and all, and dread we'll be the lions from here on, but he's worn out his welcome. I've posted this before, but let's look at some of the players we've held on to that should have been cut.

Deshaun Foster- out of the league getting evicted
    Keary Colbert- gone
    Dwayne Jarrett- gone
Jake- should have been benched earlier last season (although i can't imagine we'd be worse than we are now if we'd have kept him)
    Dan Morgan- gone
Those are some prime spots that were reserved for below average or injury prone players. His stubborness and the fact that dan henning thrived in miami with probably less overall talent lead me to believe that fox has fucked this team over the years.

pretty fucking obvious now how bad Matt Moore can be... Jake was the best option at QB we had by a damn long shot.

Fox hasn't had any say in personnel decisions for some time... matches right up with what Peppers had been saying for years... actually it's even more clearer now why Polian left.

Just because Unitas used to pick up Richardson in his pick-up on the way to practice doesn't make him good at football operations.
