What do you guys think about our QB position for next season? I am sure we keep Clausen and probably Pike but do we want either of them starting? Clausen really did not show me much when he played. I know all rookies are going to struggle but you expect some glimpses.

I assume Moore will be gone. I would love to have a solid veteran QB but that does not seem possible. I can not really think of any guys that will likely be available that we would want. We need a solid QB if we are going to have a shot at being competitive.

I'm hoping for a lockout next year and 2 crops of rookies for us to pick a QB from.

hard to speculate at this point. i mean most of it will depend on who we have coaching. clausen probably sticks, but who knows if it will be as a starter. his performance hasn't been great, but there's an investment there, and this is looking like a so what season anyway. moore with his 1 year deal is most likely gone. who knows about pike. 3rd string, late draft pick, supposedly needs some work, might be gone.

if we go with gruden they will all be here, along with greasy, simms, garcia, culpepper, plummer...oh and edwards too.

Clausen.... we've blown plenty of 2nd round picks, he's not that big of an investment. If it were me I'd start him from here on out and let him sink or swim, even though it will be sink if our OL doesn't do a better job.

It is hard to believe how much impact losing Vincent and Otah has had on our OL and running game.

It would be nice to believe that we're a quarterback away. Some teams are. That's clearly not the case here, though.

If our next coach has on offensive background, which I think is likely, then he'll probably look for a veteran who knows the system. Too early to speculate who that might end up being. Pretty sure it won't be anyone on this roster.

you know, I'm going to say the same thing every time someone says we need AJ Green or Andrew Luck or whathaveyou:

seriously? We aren't young enough in the passing game already?

I think we are a QB away from being competitive. We have a decent defense and not long ago we had a running game......

The only guy who looks to be available with some success as a starter is Orton. I would hate to see us put a lot of money into him though. Another rookie is not what we need though. If we are going to go that route then lets just stick with Clausen.

I'm set with Clausen. I like what I've seen from him. He is a rookie. I remember Troy Aikman in his rookie season (9 TD, 18 ints and 0-11 as a starter). I said it before, Clausen isn't going to carry this team on his shoulders. The QB isn't our biggest problem right now.
