Tired of 89's crap

89 is more of a liability than asset. His attitude has wore me out. He's a good number 2 reciever he should realize that.

 

the crazy thing is that there's not one player on the offense that is playing consistently at a level that actually makes them an asset. it's a bad team, for a number of reasons, from top to bottom. you should realize that. not trying to be snippy, but there's tons of blame to be spread around on this squad, on and off the field.

 

My thoughts are he has lost some speed and tries to over compensate and drops the ball. And he will explode before the season's over.

I've been thinking that he can't break loose like he used to. Of course when there is a blown coverage or he gets open Moore doesn't always see him either.

 

he killed at least 4 drives including his fumble.

Steve isn't as fast as he once was, but with offensive woes the team has, I think he's trying to force the big play. I don't really understand the focus on individuals (not just Steve) going on. I mean Williams & Stewart haven't performed like they did last year so why not dump them too? Last year they may make one change in direction if the initial hole wasn't there, but this year they're dancing a lot - I think that's a combination of very poor blocking to follow and trying to make the big play like Smitty.

In ANY line of work, you put too much pressure on yourself and try to carry too much on yourself, you tend to make mistakes. I think Steve is still a solid player, he just wants to win even if he has to do it himself. Hell, the guy volunteered to return punts which he absolutely did not have to do.

What I'd tell the team - relax and just play ball.

 

Williams & Stewart dont get out there and act like a shitass....
