Hackett was the more sexy option, and in 08 people still thought Jarrett could be something. The idea that Moose was somehow not going to make this team was ridiculous, but pretty much everyone thought the other two had more to contribute than they did.

Regardless, guy gave us a great 08, a pretty decent 09 considering what we had to deal with, and played his ass off every snap. He deserves the cred of being one of the better receivers we'll ever have.

Which is fine to a point that Gantt disagreed. They're guys with only a very modest degree of additional access compared to what we get, and that doesn't give them 'better opinions' by any means. He was wrong on that one and for his punishment he had to be petulant on twitter when fans asked him about every single WR available.

I never had much problem with him, he's the best of this bunch and over email (about half of which he's engaged me on), he's pleasant. I'm sure he's a good guy. Only thing is that time he turned my question about lacking a veteran QB presence into him answering that Rodney Peete wasn't going to be a QBs coach, all in the middle of Collin's ridiculous "QBs at this level can't be coached" argument here.

It doesn't surprise me that they all read TBR. Wasn't it Steve Reed who basically started copy/pasting the shit from here into his columns?

given the choice, sure maybe Lucas and Wahle helped out a lot in the early going - you could say 05's run was partly on them.

but in the end it wasn't one versus both. Moose signed for what one of those guys was worth, and endured them both.

Maybe Moose is an asshole. I have only met him once or twice and that was just briefly for an autograph for my kid. There must be some reason for Gantt to hate on him though. He and Steve Smith are the two best wideouts we have ever had and we got to a superbowl and made it very close thanks is larger part to Moose. Nothing he did on the field would make a panthers fan hate Moose.
