I'd like him on board with the next staff, given how likely it is that it's going to be a young guy, but I don't know how serious a candidate he is for the head coach.

And I think we can all agree that there's no Dallas staffer we'd want on board, and can lay that to rest. I don't really think I can take Mularkey/Van Gorder as serious either.

I would not mind Meeks as the head coach if we were to get rid of Davidson and get a really solid OC. I think he has done a good job with the defense and would continue that as HC. He would need a strong OC though.

have failed miserably pretty every time they've gotten a shot in the last decade or so.

VanGorder couldn't win at Georgia Southern. I'd throw up if he got an NFL gig

Saban didn't fail miserably, but he left them out to dry. College coaches with pro links don't fail, and Harbaugh's not a douche. He's a very good fit. Do you have anything besides that he's a college coach as to why he would fail?

guy jumped around a lot since Georgia. I liked him there. But he made some enemies since. I'm actually a little surprised he has stayed with ATL as long as he has.

this year so far his defense is top 10. Last two years, in the twenties. He's a name I recognize but that's all.

actually did read some interesting stuff turning me a bit on Harbaugh. It doesn't bother me that he had some physical altercations as a player with non-players (Kelly) but he and his staff have some potential issues with the franchise:

Chris Polian is his ST coach, and we forcibly removed him from the building in March 98. Vic Fangio is his DC, and it makes sense to take him along, so now we'd be 3-4 (and he's a coach we fired). Mark Roman is his run game coordinator, and was a guy who went with Dom. I like Roman, and there wouldn't be any conflicts, but now you have four guys who were either here in 98, or at the end of 01. And then would be coming in under the other failure year we've had, if they didn't have any problems with having been made to get their shit while a security agent watched.

What makes Harbaugh different from some of the other college coaches is the bloodlines. Father is a coach & I think he is related to that guy in Baltimore. Right? Plus he was a player & a pretty damn spunky one at that.
