The only recourse we have to to lose our investment and turn in the PSL.

(We did get that uber cool sign in the Ring of honor and our name carved on a Panther though)

I do not see us as being far away from contending. We have a solid running game and a fairly decent defense. We stumbled out of the gate but half the teams in the league lost their first game, including the Colts, Chargers, Cowboys, Vikings, Jets and Eagles. I doubt their fan bases are throwing in the towel just yet.

I am sure the coaches will fix the problems in our secondary. If they tighten that up the defense will be pretty good. On offense the OL will play better and hopefully get Otah back soon. Moore should be better in the future. He got off to a bad start but one bad game does not doom him in my book.

We have the Bucs next and then the Bengals (who looked like crap Sunday). We then play the Saints but we always seem to play them close. The Bears are after that then the bye. I could see us at 3-2 after five weeks.

Some very winnable games left on our schedule after week five include the Rams, Bucs, 49ers, Browns, Seahawks, Cardinals and we probably split with the Falcons.

Ten wins and a wild card is still a reasonable goal for this season.

We have been selling ours to a broker the past few years. He didnt want them this year. no one did. Tried selling season tickets for face..nothing. Tried selling the psl's but got offers that were not even worth the time. The psl's were turned in. We finally got sick of shelling out nearly $2k a year for something we hate. Our coach is stubborn and wont make a change. Our owner has shit on us. The game day atmosphere is one of the worst in pro sports. I'd rather used the money to travel to 2 or 3 Alabama games a year and buy the sunday ticket.

This team is going to struggle until there is a different philosophy and team identity. Unfortunately I believe that it's a trickle-down effect from Richardson and he has sold his soul over to "bend, try not to break, play not to lose" unimaginative football. It's BORING as hell and way too frustrating not to give up on to see the same lame shit repeatedly.
This team didn't used to wear the panties for the rest of the league. I remember days of an attacking 3-4, and days of a less predictable B-line led offense. Carolina panther football used to be fun to watch . . . now I feel like some sort of masochist waiting for a few hours of pain on Sunday
