    I think it's an issue if your QB is not a team captain, voted by teammates. I think it's a problem because they really don't believe in Moore like the media keeps trying to sell. They've seen him in practice and in games, and they know he actually does suck and won't keep his job. Players have to buy into what the coaches are selling... players are not buying into Moore.

    Ben Rothensraper is not a team captain in Pittsburgh, Henne is not in Miami... and Moore is not considered a leader in Carolina by his teammates.

    That's what I was wondering, too. With all the setup and effort to crown Moore as Jake's successor, and he doesn't inherit Jake's "C"? Smitty, I get. But Gross? Jordan's got no room to lead when his game is off this bad.
