Panthers - Giants Season Opener, September 12, 2010

Wow. We came out at halftime and just laid down. Pretty sad game. Obviously Matt Moore will have to play better and not make idiot throws he knows he shouldn't make. He didn't do that shit last year. Not ready to hand it over to Clausen but damn he was off.
O-line was just plain bad. No real push. Poor protection in the 2nd half. Bernadeu got beat badly more than a few times. Poor effort.
D was respectable for a while but got owned on the ground in the 2nd half. Came out flat. We got some gifts from the giants on those tipped passes. Kudos to Godfrey for catching them, but apart from that he had a shit game. So did Marshall imo.

 

He only had to play from behind once last year. That's one of the big worries with young QBs. They don't have much experience in certain game situations. It's all gravy when your RBs are ripping shit up, but when they have to take it all on their shoulders, it's kind of different.

Hopefully he can learn on the job and grow, because I expect us to be playing from behind quite a bit. But this is also where you wish you had a vet you could go to.

 

Not much more needs to be said but JStew does not look ready to play. He sat out a lot of the third and most of the fourth. Also, was Williams hurt? I do not remember seeing him at all in the fourth, it was mostly Goodson and occasionally JStew.

Brutal game, at least we had a nice TD I guess. Punt block was nice too, we gotta get Hardy more PT.

 

I know this not per season so every game count.With that said they were good thing to take away from today game and bad

Good thing first

special team you take away that bad snap on the punt
.And you have to say that special team was really good today

Captain Munnerlyn and mike goodson both did really good job on punt and kickoff return

Also Brandon LaFell and Dwayne Jarrett both had a good game

It was great to see Jarrett not drop a pass

Also let give credit to the run defensive who played really good

.Now the bad thing

Matt Moore you can't keep throwing INT inside the red zone .You only asking for trouble by doing this.

Matt Moore grade has to be D- when he did not throw Int his throw was highs

chris gamble you can't keep slipping down

or keep missing tackle you should offer to give the panthers your game check.

John fox and jeff davidson .This just in when a team put 7 or 8 man in the box you can't keep running the ball and you must change the play to a passing play.

this team will beat someone that it better then this panthers team at the sometime it will lose to someone who is not as good as this panthers team

No consistent pass rush! just what we feared going into the season. Everette Brown was very disappointing.

If we don't beat the Bucs, with Bengals and Saints coming up, shit could get ugly quick!
