So, we agree that one is over 306, then. All of the defensive linemen we have, one is over 306 and we're coached by a team notorious for having smaller linemen.

One. We want huge 3-4 linemen so much we have...one.

Beason and Davis don't fit. Anderson and Connor don't fit. Johnson, Brayton don't fit. That's a lot to put on Louis Leonard, Everette Brown (who many say is not a good 3-4 fit), maybe outside shot of Hilee Taylor or Norwood.

    That's our 3-4? I dunno, I just don't see it.

We're not anywhere close to being set up for a 3-4. In fact, we seem to be further away from a 34 now than ever. In the past we've had good two-gap linemen, so you could at least say "hey, maybe this would work...". We're getting away from that type of player.

3 years left at $7.7mm. That's not cheap. $2.5m per...when we have guys on the roster that can get the job done is a luxury when we need to resign Moore, Beason, Kalil, Williams, etc....

Chris has always been a liability in coverage. The days of having one safety that covers and the other that plays in the box are gone. Guys like John Lynch are now extinct.

The fact that we shopped him draft weekend & no team offered a pick for him should tell you that we fans think he's better that he actually is!

Add the fact that we were gonna cut him, getting Williams was a good deal for us.

Or it tells you that, and I know this will be hard for you, our front office is making a mistake, the Bears valued him enough to give the guy on their D with "the most upside".
