I have an impression of missed tackles going for the big hit, slow in coverage, out of position, being faked out of his jock a couple of times. I might be attributing some of these things to the wrong guy, it's just what I'm recalling when I think back on last season.

    His tweeting didn't help either.

I'm glad we didn't just let him walk.

Jamar signed through this year, Harris through 2012. I wonder how much that played into it?

Williams, meanwhile, appeared in 16 games with two starts last season, registering a career-high 49 tackles with two pass breakups and 10 special-teams stops. The 2006 fourth-round draft pick was stuck at the Bears' deepest position behind veterans Brian Urlacher, Lance Briggs, Pisa Tinoisamoa, Hunter Hillenmeyer and Nick Roach.

we got what we needed. Experienced depth.
I get the sentiment, but we could've gotten nothing.

    I wouldn't have.

But, if you're starting a bunch of youth, we had three good safeties.
