I wonder if his achilles has healed, otherwise he just might fail the physical.

Excellent move for the Saints. With all that cajun food he'll weigh a half a ton.

No, it was just a visit:

Redskins | Kemoeatu likely won't receive immediate offer
    Sun, 07 Mar 2010 13:06:17 -0800

Jason Reid, of The Washington Post, reports the Washington Redskins probably won't immediately offer a deal to free-agent DT Ma'ake Kemoeatu (Panthers) when he visits Tuesday, March 9. One league source said the visit is "just a visit."

no, he got a hell of a deal

    DT Kemoeatu lands in Washington
Former Panthers NT Maake Kemoeatu just finalized a two-year deal with Washington, despite the fact he's months from getting back on the field.

He said last week after he was cut here that he didn't expect to sign until late May or early June. But the Redskins offered some upfront money to go with a two-year, $7 million deal, so he's back, according to his agent. It's a bit of a risk on the part of the Redskins, since he's still looking at months of rehab from last year's torn Achilles.

On the other hand, if he recovers in time, he's a solid nose tackle for the 3-4 defense being installed by new Redskins coordinator Jim Haslett.

He's 31, weighs 587 lbs and is nowhere close to recovering from a nasty Achilles' tear that required two separate surgeries
sounds like more than just "a bit of a risk" . . . but what's 7 mil to Snyder?
