Didn't see the whole thing, but from what I did see... CLASS ACT.

Said he will always be a Carolina Panther at heart. Will be seeking another team because he can still compete, but is thankful that he is not is a position where he has to "feed his family."

I will miss that colorblind mofo.

whatever you think about Jake and where he has went the last couple years. The guy was classy and played with fire and a lot of heart.
the former defensive end from UNC could have learned from him

Jake made it fun to be a Panther fan again. He was the little kid pulled off the bench that you just want to cheer for. Class act. Beginning to think 90 has some serious mental/emotional issues.

It's been hinted at before but people were too busy burning him for being something he wasn't.

I used to work at the Autobell off Independance and third when I was in college. MOst of the panthers came by there to get their cars washed. Peppers was a regular.

He was painfully shy, had trouble making eye contact and usually spent the whole time he was there in the corner on his cell phone looking at the floor.

But every time I talked to him, he was friendly, polite and he was a hell of a tipper. Guys fought to get his car.

A lot of the other panthers, management, staff, etc were very outgoing, so I can see why someone might think there is something wrong with Peppers. I just thought he was a guy who didn't want the spotlight.

I had a lower bowl seat to the Bills game in October. That was my "goodnight sweet prince" wake, so I guess I'm less sad about his release now, knowing back in October that he was toast.

I have spent considerable time watching each of Moore's 5 starts from 09 lately. Mechanically alone, I remain impressed. He's fiery, but not childlike (jake).

I'm optimistic, so long as we cash in on some quality ass depth in key spots. The way it looks would mirror Dungy's approach with Indy: lower cost FA's and strong young draftees play early and often, and must play at a certain football speed in this defense. Offensively, we still ended up with two 1100 yard rushers in an 8-8 season with a lost QB. I like that a good deal.
