Only got the 2nd round tender. Do we think nobody will be interested in him? Maybe the staff doesn't think he is the long term answer at CB opposite Gamble. The CB market is slim and Marshall should be hitting his peak so someone could def. go after him. We do have the right to match any deal so are we simply letting the market do its thing and hoping he'll sign at a reasonable rate?

On another kind of related note, do we know the long term plan with Sherrod Martin. Safety or CB? He certainly didn't show much at CB last year getting beat out by Munnerlyn and co.

Seems to be a pretty common theme.
I for one think he had a pretty good year. I didn't bring him up because we already locked him down long term and not much to do about it now.

he sucks, he gives up too many plays and he can't tackle for shit... he's out of position to make a play more than anybody on defense... and agree, he's not worth his contract either

How bout we trade Marshall for a 2nd rounder and sign Leigh Bodden or maybe Marlin Jackson (Meeks system guy)?
I was thinking of Dunta Robinson but he signing with the Falcons!

 

Bodden was awful last time he played mostly zone, and Jackson, while talented, is very injury prone.

 

somehow in the course of discussion, it turns out every component of our pass defense is the worst thing ever and we finished 4th against the pass.
