Lost - The Final Season

It looked like the jawbone of an ass. I think maybe she stole it from Samson.

 

Sawyer is no longer funny, he's not even using nicknames anymore, and my favorite eye candy Juliet is gone. I think I'm just gonna boycott the rest of the season and watch the episodes all in succession once it's over.

 

i'm finding the alternate universe thing a bit annoying. seems like they ran out of gimmicks to keep the dual story line going (used to have flashbacks, then flashforwards, now cuts to an alternate universe?) whatever. i can't help but feel that the alternate universe is "fake" and so it doesn't really matter what happens.

anybody think that jack's wife is supposed to be a surprise? they're avoiding revealing who it is and they pepper in so many other islanders that you gotta figure it's one of them. julliette maybe? the kid is dark haired, but he's got blue eyes. i would have said kate, but she was on the plane...


so far, there haven't really been many answers. just a lot of working in of old concepts -- the numbers, the infection, the smoke monster, etc.

why didn't jack wonder who was #108 on the lighthouse gear? since the numbers all had names, you'd think he'd check out who was on #108 to see if it's got any significance. but then, the lostees have never been a very curious lot -- they tend to avoid sharing information and seem to know very little about each other for having spent so much time together.


i guess the person jacob was trying to help find the island was jack, in some kind of metaphoric way... i thought maybe whidmore was going to make a return. but i guess that story arc is over...?

 

I'm thinking it may be Desmond. Didn't Eloise Hawking make some comment that the Island wasn't through with him yet when she was helping the Oceanic6 get back?

yes, but that was before. i suspect there are dozens of loose ends like that.

 

Sayid's a bad motherchucker and Kate, well, Kates is just confused.

 

About Kate:

She wasn't on the wall in Jacob's chamber that I remember. Locke also didn't seemed surprised to see her walk out of the Temple. Her life didn't seem to change in the Sideways version. I wonder if they have something planned for her.


I thought he meant Jack might be coming back to the island due to the "you have what it takes" clue, but I was thinking it might be sideways view Jack, or his son.

 

I thought Kate's name was marked through on the wall. fLocke did kinda look surprised to see Kate walk out but then quickly went about his business.

 

yeah, she certainly wasn't one of the "important" numbers at least.

i think the "you have what it takes" bit was a reference to his father's pessimistic view of jack's abilities -- clearly something that jack had taken to heart since he made a point to tell his son about it. i think it was just jacob's way to motivate jack by revealing some kind of personal knowledge of his history.
