Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder just spent $600,000 on two alligator leather desks with matching alligator-skin chairs for his offices at FedExField in Landover, Md. Snyder ordered the desks from the new Giorgio's of Palm Beach store on Madison Avenue. A rep for the store said, "Mr. Snyder ordered two desks and two chairs, and they will be de livered in around six weeks."

The Panthers made a last-ditch effort to sign Julius Peppers, sources tell ESPN's Pat Yasinskas.
The long-term offer was for somewhere close to $14 million a year, according to Yasinskas. Peppers said "no thanks" and the Panthers then announced that he'd become a free agent. It's possible that Peppers turned down the richest deal he'll find, but he was obviously set on leaving town.

Can we just refer to him as syphilis now?

I bet syphilis gets paid. I would love it if he goes to washington. Really, any big media city where he'll get ripped to pieces in the press.
