TO Unemployed .....again

CHARLOTTE, NC - Following the aftermath of this week's game, the 3-3 Panthers are clearly regrouping, healing, and hoping the upcoming week's game against the Rams give them closure, even if forgetting the incident is out of the question at this point.

Terrell Owens and Steve Smith, having been both ejected from the game for fighting mid-play with Bengals defender and then, ultimately, with each other, came to blows again in postgame after they'd been released back to the team for the postgame wrap-up.

Owens, nursing a major wound from having been beaten half to death with a toilet seat torn away from the locker room in what observers state to be the decisive blow for Smith, was also beaten in the knees repeatedly. Owens was said to have broken Smith's left leg with a wrestling-type jump from a locker onto a waiting Smith, laying prone hanging half off a bench, a move which didn't disable Smith until after adrenaline had worn off.

Amongst the other wounded in the fracas were people trying to stop the fight: John Kasay's ripped patellar tendon, Rhys Lloyd's damaged mullet. Jeff King was trampled after having fallen down on first contact, and suffered a broken nose. Dante Rosario broke two bones in his foot when he at first caught Smith to hold him back, and then dropped him. Jake Delhomme broke his own jaw by trying to absorb the punches. Nick Goings, who hasn't been with the team since 2008, somehow still sustained a concussion. It left the team with 25 injuries - over half the active roster - it didn't have leaving the playing field.

Addressing the media after having been released from the hospital himself, John Fox stated the obvious yet again.

"It's an unfortunate situation, and one we should've seen coming long ago. You know, it is what it is. Those two were very close early on, more than anyone figured, but you never know. We'll move forward, hopefully finding two sticks to rub together so that we can go back out next week and let Feeley get some more work in with the starters."

The incident ultimately took on a backlash from the local media as well. Steve Reed commented afterward to the AP, saying, "Deeeehhhhh. Uhhhhhwaahggggggggggggggrrrrrrrrr. Yeeehbububububuhgggggggg." Smartass Tom Sorensen was quick to note that Julius Peppers probably would've gotten paid more had he been white, had a mullet, and therefore his loafing but frantic style would've been considered hustle.

Darin Gantt was heard with mostly muffled sobs while watching webcam video of former Panther Muhsin Muhammad being orally serviced by Gantt's wife, with others in attendance at the press conference finally figuring out why they thought they heard the sounds of a Plumber's Helper and the sloshing of dirty water.

Local pundit and breast enthusiast Chris Miller stated on his blog: "When you're young maybe you figure they're just pulling your shit when they say don't put two Betta fish together, but you figure it'll be entertaining to see them kill each other. This, on the other hand, was the stupidest possible fucking thing they could've done."

 

LOL. The Betta fish line was outstanding.

 

That is some pretty good stuff right there. It almost makes me want to see it happen in an odd death wish kinda way.
