oh, I'd say without hesitation that Ron Turner actually does suck.

Al Everest fired in SF, so there's a second special teams coach out this year.

It's going to be a pretty boring coaching carousel this year IMO. A lot more boring than I expected with so many former Super Bowl winning coaches out there. Holmgren returning...as an executive? Ehh. Shanahan? Had to expect that, since he wasn't working in TV. The rest, not as much will happen.

It won't be like last year, where so many of those super bowl winning coaches got the axe, tons of young coaches got hired, and 2/3rds of the league went into the season with a new DC. Hell, preseason was almost more interesting (two OCs fired).

"The most notorious play of the season came Dec. 6 in Seattle when Arnaz Battle and Brandon Jones fumbled a reverse on a punt return in 35-degree weather. The 49ers were dominating the game up to that point, but the turnover led to a quick Seattle touchdown. Singletary and Everest were seen on the sideline having an animated discussion about the play."

the biggest difference is whether the HC called it or not, Fox would take the quiet road, state it was a team decision, downplay it and let the media and fans cry about it all week. Singletary would bitch out the STs coach whether his fault or not, go to the locker room and show a new part of his anatomy, say something stupid to the press that shows passion and says what fans want him to say, and then two years down the road people will remark about how fucking unstable he is.

Same thing between Gamble's fuckup and the 49ers', it's not the playcall, it's the execution.

LOL, Fox may do some reaming in private but he keeps it all in house, I like that about him.
