We rely on it because of the lack of talent around him.

9 recievers caught balls from Moore last night. It's not like Smith was the only one with opportunities last night. Barnridge, King, and Moore all had deep opportunities. Smith and Barnridge were the only ones to take advantage.

And I thought he got lucky at first w Barnridge, but on the review I think he saw he was open and the defender was running to catch up. Looks like he purposely back sholdered him so the defender would run by.

You gotta think that his performance lifted the spirits of his teammates as well. Lot of talk about sluggish play this season, and Delhomme's epic suck HAS to fuck morale all to hell.

Maybe Moore's performance was enough to elevate the play of his teammates.

Considering how terrible QB play has been, i don't think it's a stretch.

QBs have been doing that with the better wideouts in the NFL for years. Moss usually gets a lot of that type of thing. Micheal Irvin made his career out of it. You have to pick your spots though. Throwing it up for grabs forty yards down field is not going to hurt you as bad as doing it five yards down field. I like Smitty to beat single coverage and have a good shot against double coverage as long as it is down field where guys have to run with him. Where it kills you is when it is close to the line of scrimmage where tipped balls get picked and ran back. On a long pass that you let Smitty fight for worst case it is picked and acts like a punt.

Throwing a bomb to the end zone on 3rd and 140 made my dick hard.

Just watched that highlight - it was 50 yards in the air.

I was expecting the draw play.

    he's had those rainbows though.

I dunno. I liked the kid we saw last night. Better than before. Even then, had some problems early on. Maybe we were just on, and he was part of it, rather than that this was a breakthrough.

But you can't not like him. I think he has a legit shot next year, but for once he'll have to earn it. That he was able to put together long drives was a big deal more than any one play to a player in a single situation.

The Panthers should hurry up and give him a 10 year extension, then wrap up Fox with a lifetime contract and a Dodge Viper.
