Like who? I don't doubt he'd get some interest but what are you basing this fact in?

It is just my opinion but I think it is a pretty safe assumption. Lots of NFL teams would love to have the record we have had during the time Fox has been here. The Houston Texans started about that same time and they have yet to make the playoffs let alone a superbowl, a NFCCG, and two division titles.

I remember two years ago, people were pissing and moaning about Fox, and then Petrino left and people realized Fox could be a division rival. People freaked.

The Panthers have had like twice as many seasons as the Texans.

I'm sure he would get something, but the success he could have somewhere else and what he can do to fix the Panthers are different things.

Does that make it a fact that other teams would jump to hire him?

On a cosmic timescale, the Panthers and Texans started around the same time. I think that's what Thelt meant.

no, but tons of national media have said that Fox is respected and will get job offers quickly.

So, in the meantime, what the fuck are you contesting this for? I mean you seem to have a specific doubt about something.

I'm just posing the possibility that it isn't a fact that other teams want him. It seems to be an assumption. None of us really know what the actual teams really think but if you are going with the general opinion of the Panthers by other fanbases it would be my opinion that most see them as an average underacheiving team. I'm not going to say my opinion is fact though.

well, I haven't been looking for people to say "if Fox is fired I'd expect he'd get snapped up fast", but everyone from (I believe) Billick during a telecast to print sources outside the Carolinas have suggested it.

It doesn't really matter as to whether or not he is quickly hireable, if we're done with him we're done with him, but the idea he's not a quality coach that would get hired if he chose to coach that year seems to be faulty.

If it's time to move on because the ownership believe his approach and philosophy has become stale than I agree you can't be concerned about immediate success in another environment. He could have just what it takes to tweak a new situation just like he did here.
