I heard someone talking about Thomas Davis being at the end of his contract and do we try to keep him after saying we probably should franchise Peppers again. If they do that, my head will explode - hopefully AT a home game next year and maybe someone can swing me some seats near our bench/coaching staff so I can take a few of them with me. :bomb::detonate:

Davis is RFA if the CBA isn't extended but the cost to retain him fell in our favor when he was injured. I bet he stays he was excelling here and the current FO has proven they'll pay to keep their guys.

That was my thinking as well because he was absolutely all over the field before he went down. I kept thinking today that having him out there with Beason would have made at least a little difference today as other weeks since he's been out.

I actually would prefer to see us keep fox. 1 year left on contract, has a great history, this would be his first over 9 loss season.

I like Hurney, but wouldn't mind losing him. The idea that they're married is stupid. You think when Fox gets hired again ( and he will get snatched up quick ) he'll only do it if Hurney comes along? They're seperate.

I don't like the first round picks being lost. I don't like the Peppers and Delhomme situations. Those fall on Hurney as much as Fox.

I like the meeks pickup. It's looking better.

Right now, today, I'd like to keep fox, lose hurney, lose davidson.

Obviously, we need a fucking QB.

Mangini got snatched up quickly, too. So, other teams desire for him doesn't weigh into my impression of him as a head coach and I hope it wouldn't with Richardson.

As far as Hurney and Fox being tied together. I think what most folks are saying is that, if Hurney goes so will Fox because new GMs tend to want to hire their own HCs.

I think they are tied in that they are perceived to work very closely together and have the same mentality. So if you want to change one to get a different atmosphere and philosophy you hae to change both.

Hurney needs to go, he's not a personnel guy and we've been kissing the cap the last few years. It's like there's no plan to ever gain a cap surplus just to live to next year and we'll renegotiate/cut then.
