    I understand why Fox waited so long, too. It's because he always waits too long to make the right move. Moore is clearly the best QB on our roster, which is more of an indictment on the other two, but Fox's loyalty towards Jake kept him from doing this earlier.

    I'm not disillusioned by anything Moore has done and he's probably a very solid back-up at best. We still have to make plenty of changes on offense. 16 against Tampa is not a good effort at all.

    it's a small sample size but it's nice seeing balls that are generally pretty consistent. Moore gives us that, even if he's not efficient and is hit or miss.

    Even I was ready for Jake to go. Moore even made similar mistakes. I don't find myself dying for Moore to be the next guy, he's just a boost for the moment.

    I also think it's reasonable to suggest that Moose is still a very capable #2, as long as the football is being throw somewhere within his reach.

    Moore's best attribute is his footwork--far superior to Delhomme in that department. The out routes to King, Moose and Smith were very well placed, and the go route to 89 was very nice to see. New England can be thrown on by my grandmother, at this point--might be interesting.

    I gotta feelin' that Fox was throwing a little early in the game in usual run situations to test Matty, and show him we do have some confidence in him to lead the team.

    I think he looked good. He made 1, obvious, bad decision. Other then that I felt like he managed the game well, made the key throws, hit the deep ball, and wasn't scared to heave it. The two things that jumped out at me most;
    1. He could tell the difference in our jersey's and theirs, thus making mostly solid decisions.
    2. He could hit the open man with accuracy, and only over threw 1 pass, and made 1 bad decision vs the 10 both ways with Delhomme.

    My overall opinion on his future?
    This season, he's my guy. He played well. Regardless of Tampa's sucking this year, he made the right decisions, and it doesn't matter who you play your decision making isn't any different. If he continues to be our QB for the rest of the year, I can't complain at all. Hoping for a solid draft choice.

    3-1.

    Matty's 4 starts;

    W, NO, 19 of 27, 208 yds, 0 turnovers.
    L, DAL, 15 of 28, 182 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT.
    W, TB, 'could not find completions' of 24, 2 TD.
    Matt's career stats;
    83 of 143, 58%, 6.7 AVG yds, 3 TD, 7 INT. 64.8 RAT

    Delhomme;

    178 of 321, 6.28 AVD yds, 8 TD, 18 INT. 59.4 RAT

    I say given the stats, I like Matt for the rest of the season. Not to mention Matt, with experience, can grow and develop. Obviously as Jake grows, he worsens. Matt is not the future, yet, maybe one day hard to tell but as of right now he isn't the future but I will say that he is the only plausible solution to this year.

    Don't worry Fox, you can blame Jake's finger so you don't hurt his feelings.

    I Jake has played the game Moore just played no one would be happy and saying that Jake is back to his old form. Moore managed to not screw up too much but he did not light up the Bucs either. I hope he does well but so far he has done nothing to show he is any better than Jake. He has four games left to show something. I expect he will not show enough to warrant being penciled in as the starter for next year.

    Only one interception would be a great game for Jake. Plus Moore gets a bit of a pass as he hasn't been working with the fiorst team for the last 2 years.

    We know you love Jake, but Moore performed well enough to win yesterday, which is how you claim the QB spot on this team is designed anyway.

    I don't know that that's true, the Defense played well enough to win (in the redzome) yes, we won, and I don't want to be Debbie Downer but...

    He handed the ball off effectively and commited one turnover. I'm not trying to say he did great, but we've heard time and time again how this team is a run first/defense minded team. The QB job is to be efficient and not lose the game. I'd say he managed that.

    Matt's real test is this Sunday in Foxboro. I think the Pats are a little better than the Bucs....we will see.
