I really can't see Delhomme playing this Sunday. He should be benched anyway, and with a broken finger, it's just not possible he gets the start....even though he is only listed as questionable....that's just a Fox thing, letting the media know all he's required to give.

Yeah, and I hope that's just practice. Remember how well he did for the cowboys in preseason?

As for Mccown beating him, remember Peete beat Delhomme in preseason 2003.

And Foster beat Williams for a couple of years.

This. And the deep ball off play action is an important part of this offense. Has been for a while.

OK. In preseason. He was himself playing with lesser players.

In real games, he's showed enough in my opinion to remain hopeful.

I'm hopeful. The question was about skepticism, and there's reason to have that too. He legitimately hasn't done anything since 07, and while preseason gives him lesser players, he did play the other team's JVs when he had success in 07.

I think the 'hype' over Moore is that he still has a bit of a question mark. We all know what McCown and Feely are...they've been around the league long enough that evryone knows what they are. We've seen Moore in some game situations, but there is still that possibility that he can be a world beater. Slim, but a possibility. And he's the only current hope for a worldbeater that we've got.
I know the scouting report on him is that he is a backup caliber guy, good arm..etc. Jake was a backup to Aaron Neville for God's sakes, so his scouting report was certainly the same, hell the scouting report on Tom Brady was the same when he backed up Drew Carrey.....both of these guys outperformed his scouting report, and Moore is the only QB we have who has that potential.
