Parker, I wouldn't want to trade Smith either, in fact I'd doing it holding on tight til the very end,,, but as others have stated, if we stay pat with what we got, and we don't draft til the 2nd round,,, we'll have pretty much the same next year as what you see now, possibly minus a few notables (Moose, Peppers especially).

I'm just throwing out options. I will admit that it is very possible that we keep Smith and most of what we got,,, and just firing Fox, with new leadership who would actively seek out another QB could very well make a huge difference. But I don't see how a new coach can acquire a worthy QB without some sort of trade,,,, do you?

has this not been the same conversation after almost every game this season? It is time to change. So we can have a 1 -15 season next year while we REBUILD.

Thought it was interesting when Shannon Sharp said "If Fox doesn't do something about Jake we'll all be talking calling you Coach in Carolina" as he leaned toward Cowher with a smile. Cowher just smiled back.

On the other hand, Jake could be impressive against the 1-10 Buccs this Sunday and all will be well again, Right?

Boycott the stadium on Sunday. Nobody takes a seat until the beginning of the 2nd quarter! Hey, it worked for the Browns.... :lach:

I'd be pretty stunned if he's wrong.

At this point, starting Delhomme is just self destructive.
